About Us

John has spent over 42 years in the commercial real estate management, acquisitions, development, and commercial real estate ownership business. John started his career in 1978 with Zell Management Company in Phoenix, Arizona.

In 1981 he served as the regional manager for the Murdoch Management Company, where he was responsible for several mid rise office complexes and neighborhood shopping centers.

In 1984 he became the southwest regional manager for Transamerica Real Estate. He was responsible for the management of 400,000 square feet of office buildings and had regional responsibility for property management of the southwestern US properties.

In 1987 John joined Glimcher Group, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was involved in the management, acquisition, and development of 11 neighborhood shopping centers totaling over 1.8 million square feet.

ln 1989 he joined the Vestar Development Company in Phoenix, Arizona, as the VP of property management. At Vestar John was responsible for the management of over 2.5 million square feet of neighborhood & Power shopping centers.

In 1993 he formed his own company, Monitor Real Estate Services LLC, whose primary business was acquisition, management, and development of commercial properties in the southwest.

In 1996, John merged Monitor Real Estate Services LLC with NAI Horizon, a Phoenix based commercial real estate brokerage management and Acquisitions Company. From 1996 until 2008, he was the principal in charge of all business operations for NAI Horizon and its offices in Phoenix and Las Vegas. During this period, John also was involved in the acquisition and development of many properties in the Southwest, and Southeast. The acquisitions included 16 medical buildings as well as the development of 9 shopping centers totaling over 1,000,000 square feet.

In 2009, John created Monitor Real Estate Advisors, which is the company today from which future acquisitions, property and asset management will be operated from.

John has been involved in acquisitions, management, leasing, development, and disposition of industrial, retail, office, medical office, and mini storage, totaling over 8 million square feet, valued in excess of $750 million.

John, a Certified Property Manager (CPM), is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

John has a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University, and his major was Real Estate Management and Finance.

 Stacie  Stocker has over 14 years experience in commercial real estate. Nine years of that has been with Monitor Real Estate Advisors. While at Monitor Real Estate Advisors , Stacie served as marketing director, assistant asset manager, real estate sales agent, and administrative manager. Prior to that she has 7  years experience in commercial and residential property management.
